Nagasaki University is committed to Planetary Health and actively pursues cutting-edge marine innovation research through strong collaboration with domestic and international institutions, as well as through interdisciplinary partnerships within the university.
By enabling the continuous social implementation of marine technology and establishing a center that supports the deployment of marine robots and marine equipment in actual sea areas, the center will contribute to the realization of a globally recognized center for the social implementation of marine science and technology.

The Nagasaki University Organization for Ocean Future Innovation creates human resources to live together with the sea through science, technology and innovation.
Ocean robot
In the field of marine robotics in particular, the center is collaborating with leading underwater robotics research institutions such as Kyushu Institute of Technology and the University of Tokyo to promote applied research for social implementation of underwater robots in actual marine environments, and to develop practical marine equipment such as ship and flight robots, integrated robot systems, and sway-free transfer vehicles. We are also developing practical marine equipment such as ship and flight robots, integrated robotic systems, and sway-free transporters.
Through these efforts, we will develop human resources for social implementation and entre human resources with a focus on the marine field.
Support and development of remote island medicine
Furthermore, taking advantage of our geographical characteristics, we are also working to support and develop medical care on remote islands.
